Many colloid dispersion systems change their characteristics depending on pH. pH titration measurements can bring to light various characteristics of materials not obtained under unvarying measurement conditions. Essential to pursuing highl reprofducible process control, this method has wide applications involving inorganic powders, ceramics, sewage treatment, cleaning, fibers, chemistry, biology, and food.
We performed pH titration of commercially available alumina (Al2O3), silical (SiO2), titanium oxide (TiO2), and a compound of alumina and silica (3Al2O3·2SiO2) using a pH titratior and determined isoelectric points.
