The dispersion stability of colloid particles is a key issue in many industries, and related research and applications arepromoted. Particle diameter, zeta potential are used as indices of dispersion stability.
We investigated optimal dispersion concentrations using alumina particles and sodium metaphosphate (HMPNa), an inorganic dispersant. We varied the concentrations of the dispersant added and tracked changes in particle diameter and zeta potential over time following the additon of the dispersant.
