Quantum dots are nanoscale semiconductor particles ranging from 2 to 20 nm. As their characteristics, they are capable of absorption and changing luminescent color of arbitary light by controlling particle size, and light of any wavelength may be efficiently utilized because of high luminous efficiency. Because of their characteristics, usage in lighting, display, solar cells, biological imaging, etc, is expected. Since properties of particle diameter control and dispersion technology are important.
We measured the particle diameters of commercially available quantum dots.
